Asociatia AsterX

Asociația AsterX is a non-profit organization based in Călărași, Romania, dedicated to empowering young people and to the sustainable development of rural and urban communities in Călărași County and other regions of the country. Our mission is to promote European values — social inclusion, equal opportunities, civic engagement, interculturality, and environmental responsibility — through non-formal education, mentoring, and coaching programs.

The AsterX Team

The AsterX team is made up of a mix of experts with a strong interest in the personal and professional development of individuals. One of the core values that brought Irina, Ramona, and Dan together in this team was making education accessible in environments where school is the only path to development — and where even that path is not always welcomed. Together they bring a mix of strategic thinking, attention to detail, empathy, and joviality that makes implementing local, national, and international projects feel effortless.

Dan SCHIMBISCHI

Manager / President

Dan's interest in detail and in doing things well gives him a major advantage in managing projects of different scales to the highest standards. With extensive experience in strategic-partnership Erasmus+ projects, he brings a perspective with many strengths to developing and monitoring systems that ease the stages of implementation. In addition, Dan is passionate about practical methods for overcoming obstacles — starting from a personal perspective — which is why he became a Master NLP practitioner (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and a nationally accredited coach. With these skills, he makes working with people motivating and full of resources

Ramona ENACHE

Youth Activities Coordinator

Youth Activities Coordinator with experience built organically in youth work, Ramona started as a participant, went on to become a group leader and implementation volunteer, and discovered a passion for facilitation and training. Today she is fully responsible for implementing youth education activities, with a focus on integrating everyone in the group and making information accessible at every participant's level. Her ability to adapt the learning process and implement every step of a project, combined with sociability and empathy, makes Ramona a team member who works easily with any group. She also has a keen interest in continuous development, being herself a nationally accredited coach with an international career specialization.

Irina CIORTEA

Psychologist and Implementation Coordinator

Psychologist and Implementation Coordinator Irina Ciortea is a professional with over 15 years of experience in project management and organizational development, with a solid background in psychology and human resources. She has coordinated complex social and educational initiatives, supported NGOs and institutions in accessing and implementing European funds, and consistently contributes to creating healthy and effective working environments. Through a structured and empathetic approach, Irina brings clarity, direction, and real impact to community-focused projects.
